Description: We are the oldest organisation for women in Croydon. Our aim is to give help and support to lonely and depressed women in Croydon and surrounding area. And give them help for their day to day problems such as language, health, education, housing and of course lonliness. For this purpose we have drop in centres, where ladies come in and enjoy the company of other women, make friends learn the skill of sewing, cooking, keeping fit and celebrate the festivals such as Eid, Christmas and other special occasions. We also do arrange outings, music parties and mina bazar.

Description: Croydon Mosque & Islamic Centre (CMIC) started in a small ground-floor hall in West Croydon in the early 1970. The local Muslim community commenced raising funds and in due course a large Victorian House was purchased, eventually demolished and the Mosque evolved, over several phases and over a period of 20 years, into the structure today. CMIC contains 7 large halls and has the capacity to accommodate 3,500 people currently, with construction plans to increase this capacity to 4,000.

CMIC is well attended with over 9,000 people passing through the Mosque during an average week; this increases to over 30,000 people per week during Ramadan. CMIC serves a diverse Muslim community in and around the London Borough of Croydon which numbers 20,000 and includes Muslims of Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, East African, Somalian, Turkish, Afghan, Middle Eastern and Bosnian origin amongst others

Description:  The Croydon Tamil Welfare Association is mainly made up of small group of highly skilled and qualified volunteers; they have volunteered their time and put forth effort, donated funds in order to facilitate the luncheon club and other small trips and activities. the centre already provides a nucleus of activities for the current membership but the forward programme aims to extend these significantly both in scope and membership. The establishment of a physical base( The Croydon Tamil Welfare Association Centre) in the heart of the community acting as a safe central focus for the provision of formal and informal activities has been a success this far.

Computer classes for beginners to improve and enlarge their knowledge, yoga classes to keep fit.

Description: We are an Oshwal Community who have been in and around Croydon Area since the early 1970's.  We follow the Jain religion and have our Derasar (Temple) in our premises where we run Jain classes and Satsang Mandal activities.  We also run a very successful Gujarati School on Saturday mornings, Bridge Club, Youth Club and other ad-hoc activities throughout the year.

Description: Shishukunj is a registered charity (No. 284206) established in August 1976. "Shishukunj" (a Sanskrit word meaning garden of children) is an institute dedicated to the welfare and cultural development of children.

The Shishukunj environment aims to create a family atmosfere, which can provide a warm and homely support network for all. Shishukunj is unique in that its activities are run by teenagers and young adults, who develop a special bond with the children and act as role models for their development. All the youngsters who run our activities have grown up through Shishukunj, and understand the essence of our philosophy.

Description: The aim of the group are to; support and advance a feeling of community in and around the school locality by engaging with individuals and families. To sipport and signpost individuals and families to appropriate services.  To seek employment possibilities for community members, either to voluntary or paid posts. To promote health and well being to disadvantaged groups in Croydon.  To increase access to education and training in order to support citizens to be more active, willing and able to participate in wider community life.
 
Specically SPICE members work with adults from the Archbishop Lanfranc's neighbouring community to encourage them to join classes, seek support and advice, work as volunteers, search for employment opportunities and bond with each other to form a wider community group.  SPICE works with community members to identify current and local needs and applies for funding to support specific projects.  The SPICE team also work directly, as part of the provision offered to the community, for example they assist in classes, they staff the creches which allows parents the opportunities to attend classes, they maintain the demountable centre that is used for teaching sessions.

Description: Sutton Subrang is dedicated to the promotion and development of Asian Art and Culture. One of our main objectives is to foster an appreciation and understanding of the rich and diverse heritage from the sub-continent, and to help in maintaining it's identity in a multi-cultural society in Sutton and the neighbouring boroughs. Description: Registered Charity established in 2009.  The Charity's primary aims are to advance in life and help young people through the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare using Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) as the focal point of training/interaction.  Also it provides support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.  The organisation helps to identify training needs of individuals and assist in singnposting them to the appropriate agencies.  Individuals have been sent on first aid training, leadership course and peer mentoring training to date.  

To date the organisation has delivered 4 projects successfully targeting in particular young people who are NEET and from BMER groups as well as those who are involved with the criminal justice service or at the verge of becoming involved.
