Chronic Kidney Disease

Pentathlon Wellbeing. A health & wellbeing programme for the community.

Croydon Black, Asian Minority Ethnic (BME) communities are at greater risk of developing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) due to their risk factor of developing diabetes and high blood pressure.

With the population in Croydon with two or more long term conditions set to increase it is anticipated that a programme of education and early detection in conjunction with the community events currently delivered may:

  • Prevent onset of illness

  • Prevent progression of illness in early stages

  • Prevent deterioration of established illness

Pentathlon is a fantastic health and wellbeing programme created for the community. It consists of five sessions. Unlock your full wellbeing potential with Pentathlon!

  • Dive into the benefits of a healthy diet.

  • Explore gut health benefits.

  • Discover mental health benefits and more.

  • Learn the importance of quality sleep.

  • Experience the benefits of physical movement.

The target audience for this programme is anyone and everyone! The aim of Pentathlon is to educate people about health and wellbeing. It is important to remember that this is a general programme therefore does not override any advice which have been given by a healthcare professional.

The surveys are very important to the work we're doing with the Pentathlon programme. We know it's a lot, but we'd appreciate it so much if you filled them out for us!  As a small incentive you will be entered into a Β£25 prize draw for all the entries per session.
